Classroom Close-up: RTC Student in the News

Have you ever seen or heard of a NJ cable television show called Classroom Close-up?

It is produced by NJEA and features short (5 – 6 minute) profiles of some of New Jersey’s most interesting K-12 teachers. The show airs several times a week.

This week, one of the featured teachers is Elizabeth Hults Elko, who completed her master’s degree with the RTC program a few years ago. Elizabeth teaches English Language Arts at Barnegat High School and recently published her first Young Adult novel, titled “How the Public School System Stole Petey Guzman’s Brain”

Elizabeth’s segment Reach Before You Teach summarizes her educational philosophy. Watch her segment on Classroom Close-up’s website.
You might also possibly notice an M.Ed. Program Director if you watch closely!
